COVID-19 UPDATES

Return to Worship Task Force Update:             1/30/2021

The task force has been meeting regularly to monitor the expert’s recommendations. The task force has been preparing for the day we can begin to safely gather.

Health organizations are dispersing the vaccine now. Warmer weather is on the horizon, so here are some of the tentative plans for Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in the coming months as was reported at the OSLC Annual Meeting on Sun., January 24, 2021:

  • March 7th:  Weather dependent and the status of the COVID-19 virus, there will be 9am virtual Worship streaming on Facebook Live AND at 10am, a parking lot Worship service.  We have purchased a radio transmitter so that you will be able to stay safely in your vehicle, tune your radio to the station, and enjoy Worship together.
  • We have ordered palms for Palm Sunday’s parking lot Worship on Sunday, March 28th.
  • Our Good Friday Worship on April 2nd will be a drive-thru “Stations of the Cross” around the OSLC property.  You will be able to stay safely in your vehicles.
  • Easter Sunday, April 4th – parking lot Worship.
  • May 2nd:  Again, weather dependent and the status of the COVID-19 virus, there will be 9am in-person Worship for up to 50 people who have preregistered.  The in-person Worship will be streaming on Facebook Live as well.  The virtual on-line Worship will be a permanent choice for the foreseeable future. At 10:30am, a parking lot Worship service will also be held.
  • Plans are in the works to hold outdoor Ignite Worship services once per month in June, July, and August.  Watch for more details including dates.

During Lent, Pastor Kurt will suspend the daily devotion while he delivers a lengthier “Lenten Worship” on Wednesdays with the same format of streaming on Facebook Live which you can then watch at your convenience.

Thank you and God Bless!
